Protect the King
Eliminate the enemy king while defending your own
About This Mode
Protect the King is the flagship mode of Bonkus. Each team has a king ball and several pawn balls. Your goal is to knock the opposing king into a kill zone while keeping your own king alive.
Every turn, you set velocity vectors for your balls. Once all players submit, physics plays out simultaneously — balls collide, bounce off walls, and (hopefully) send the enemy king to its doom.
The mode rewards both offensive aggression and defensive positioning. Use your pawns as shields, set up chain collisions, or go for a bold direct strike. First team to reach the target score wins.

Strategy Tips
- 1.Position your pawns between your king and the opponent to form a defensive wall
- 2.Use angled shots to set up chain collisions — one ball can redirect another into the king
- 3.Keep your king near the center of the board where it is harder to push into kill zones
- 4.Predict your opponent's likely moves and counter-position accordingly
- 5.Sometimes the best offense is a strong defense — protect your king first, then attack
